Dread Wolves are generally thought to be the toughest variant of wolves that are commonly encountered during Baldur's Gate 1 and should generally be avoided at low levels. They are usually found alone or in groups of two or three in forests and other wilderness areas. They are immune to cold and resistant to electricity. In the Siege of Dragonspear DLC, they are upgraded and require Acid Damage to kill, or they will return to full health.
