Gems are also a frequent drop from a wide range of monsters as a viable part of the Rare Drop Table and are occasionally given out as gifts from various Random Events. Gems can also be mined from the gem rocks in the northwest corner of Shilo Village. Some gems can be purchased or sold (or stolen) at a gem shop identified with a red gem icon on the map (File:Gem shop icon.png).
