Although he originally worked for the evil Giga-Bowser, Metal Mario quit evil during the Subspace War II. He started karting with Mario and friends, and now battles against the fighters once more in Smash Bros. Mania. Metal Mario is the boss version of Mario. Although he is still on Giga-Bowser's side at the start of the game, he soon joins Mario against the Subspace War's return.
