Boss Naught is a character who appears in the cartoon show episode "Lumbering Smurfs". He is the unscrupulous overseer of a team of tree cutters whose goal was to clear-cut the Smurf Forest in order to make money from its trees, not caring that the forest is under the protection of King Gerard. The Smurfs sought to stop Boss Naught and his team from their intended goal by getting the message to King Gerard about the clear-cutting while gaining aid from Clockwork Smurf in slowing the workers down. Boss Naught's workers believed that there were spirits at work in the forest, but he didn't believe any of those claims until he and his workers saw the spirits for themselves, which were really disguises the Smurfs created for themselves to scare off the workers.
