Varalba is an enemy fought in Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean. They were created magically by ancient wizards to serve as guardians in the labyrinthine Illusory Fortress, protecting the Ancient Book of Magic. Although they were modeled after evil beasts, they have nothing to do with the forces of darkness. Despite their appearance, they skillfully wield powerful magic and seem to specialize particularly in Chrono and Fire magic.
