The year 27 before the Battle of Yavin (BBY) was a span of time during the declining days of the Galactic Republic. During this time, Jedi Master Mace Windy and Jedi Knight Ki-Adi Mundi began sparring against one another in lightsaber combat, which they would continue to do every two weeks until at least 22 BBY.
