Robert Wales is a former NASCAR driver from Pleasant Grove, AL. He competed in two Nextel Cup Series events in his career. Both of those races came in 1972, when Wales debuted at Talladega. Starting 34th in the field, Wales had early engine issues and finished 48th. For his other career race, Wales returned to Talladega with no further success. He finished last (50th) after more engine issues.
