Haldthin was an assumably prominent elf who lived during the time of the Du Fyrn Skulblaka who had an Elven House named after him. A notable descendant of Haldthin was Vanir, the elf who dueled Eragon while he was training with Oromis in Eldest. Vanir later became the Elf Ambassador to the newly reformed Broddring Kingdom after the defeat of Galbatorix .
