Nurse L'Kem was a Vulcan Starfleet medical officer serving aboard the USS Aventine by 2381. During the Borg Invasion of 2381, the Aventine attacked and captured a Borg scout, hoping to secure its vinculum. As the security personnel were using energy dampening devices, friendly fire incidents occurred. L'Kem aided Doctor Nexa Ko Tor in attempting to save Crewman Doron. Doron went into convulsions and died on the biobed. L'Kem noted the times of death for Doron and Lieutenants Hutchinson and Tane. (ST - Destiny novel: Lost Souls)
