Alisia Kalpana was a Human female that became the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic sometime before 17,568 BBY. A member of the influential Kalpana family, many of her relatives were politicians. She led the Republic during the Early Sith War, and was the target of various propaganda in the Holy Sith Empire. Kalpana herself tended to rely on the military officers to lead the Republic during the war, but still continued to make decisions on the Galactic Senate. Kalpana was criticized for her handling of the conflict, as the Sith had nearly won, and Admiral Vedij Zelin of the Republic Navy went rogue, creating his own government.
