Jeffrey A. Townes (born January 22, 1965 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American actor, DJ and record producer who portrayed Jazz, Will's best friend in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Townes is best known for being one-half of the hip hop duo, DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince with Will Smith, serving as the DJ.
