6R9 was a B1 battle droid who fought during the Clone Wars. 6R9 was apart of an experimental variant of the B1 series exhibiting independent control. 6R9 battled against Theta Squad, where he would use his independence to flee the battlefield when Separatist forces were close to defeat. After the battle, 6R9 would battle clone troopers until he ran into the body of a former colleague, 5EX. 6R9 removed 5EX's arm cannon and replaced his own arm, starting a habit of replacing his own parts with parts of droids he thought were better. By 10 BBY he had replaced almost all of his original B1 armaments with those of other droids.
