Vernon Boulevard–Jackson Avenue (originally Vernon–Jackson Avenues) is the first station in Queens on the Flushing Line. It has two wall platforms and two tracks with full time fare control at the platform level at the Vernon Boulevard end, and part time control three steps above the platform at the Jackson Avenue end. There is no crossover or crossunder. The name tablet shows "Vernon–Jackson Aves." and there are directional mosaics "to Vernon Ave." and "to Jackson Ave." This station was the site of a night station agent being killed for the tokens.
