The Akai Army was created by Emperor Kamichi during the first year of the Monarchy. During the Great Civil War, Kamichi gained control of all the nation and unified the empire. This ended the civil war and brought peace to all the land. The threat of civil war still fresh and Kamichi was afraid. To enforce his will on all his people, form the daimyo to the lowly farmers, he created the Akai Army.
