This scenario is about Panos Nautikos, under the service of Emperor Louis II, helping in defeating the Emirates of Bari (referred as 'Arabs' in this article) by invading Matera, Oria, and finally Bari itself. Later as Emperor Louis II is being imprisoned by Lombards under Adelchis of Benevento, and had Bari being occupied by the Lombards, Panos went on besieging Bari to recapture it from the Lombards.
