The Iron Duke-class Destroyer was a rare vessel by 17 ABY. Originally built for anti-capital ship combat, the Iron Duke no longer posed a threat to most capital ships. When it was deployed, it was almost always in an anti-pirate role. In 17 ABY, the class was upgraded with antimatter reactors and BioComps.
