3rd Imperial Heavy Armor was a joint Imperial Army armored unit serving the Galactic Empire and later the Imperial Remnant. The unit fielded numerous vehicles of different kinds, including Imperial ground-skimmers, but they were most notable for their All Terrain Armored Transports. Many members of the unit went on to join the elite Thundering Herd squadron of General Maximilian Veers. Early on in the Galactic Civil War, Kaijin Harrak was briefly assigned to the unit before being transferred to the Thundering Herd AT-AT squadron. It was commanded by General Zakar, and took part in the Battle of Shaylin 18 in 0 ABY.
