The Ironshield was the second Nymean Star Destroyer to be built. The destroyer was sent to Battle of Gora as part of the garrison at that important world in the Nymean Ascendancy. When the Galactic Alliance attacked, the Ironshield took severe damage. Only Trivas arriving with reinforcements saved the ship from destruction. When the Galaxial War was over, the ship was attached as the flagship of the Third Nymean Fleet. Captain Veran became Admiral Veran and was put in charge of the Third Fleet. There, the Ironshield served in the Vagaari War and did well in several minor battles.
