Flo was born in January 2013 in the Gosa Mob. Her mother was the dominant female Cleopatra and her father was most likely Malaki, who died of a snake bite before Flo's birth. Flo was born into a litter of five. Two of her litter-mates were Zeus and Daisy, the other two pups were unnamed. The unnamed pair were sadly lost in February 2013. Flo was described as the more fragile of the pups in her litter and was often not fond of Daisy's boisterousness. Sadly, in May 2013, Daisy was bitten by a puff adder and did not survive. Then in June 2013 another group member, Matimba, was also killed by a puff adder.
