Raymond Vaughn (b. 1955; d. 19 May 1999) served as the director of security for BankLA in the 1990s. He conspired with Linus Simonson and several other partners to steal $2 million that the bank was loaning to a movie company to be used as a prop. As part of the conspiracy, Vaughn and Simonson killed Angella Benton to create misdirection. During the robbery Vaughn and Simonson played innocent while their cohorts carried out the robbery. However, Vaughn was intentionally shot and killed by the robbers to eliminate him as a partner and as a threat to the secrecy of their plan.
