Urban Search and Rescue Washington Task Force or WA-TF1 is a FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Task Force based in Puget Sound region, Washington and is sponsored by the municipalities in the region. The Washington version of the Urban Search and Rescue operation based in Miami, Florida. Washington DC's USAR appeared at the Pentagon crash, outside of Washington DC in the 9/11 Terrorist attacks and helped many people escape from the rubble in The Pentagon, before and after it had collapsed.
