Rinlo was a Peacekeeper pilot under the command of Captain Braca and Commandant Grayza. He considered himself to be one of the best pilots in the service. In Grayza's continuing search for John Crichton, Rinlo was involved in the development of a Leviathan-killing missile with fellow Peacekeeper and scientist Ponara. Unlike Ponara, Rinlo did not believe a Prowler could be equipped with such a large projectile weapon and felt that a Marauder would be better suited for the job. This led to some tension between the two.
