The Hermits were a loose affiliation of paranoid loners who paradoxically trusted and enjoyed the company of each other. Studmuffin laid the groundwork for his Red Light District a kilometer west of Lakeview Village, wishing to protect himself from nosy neighbors and roving bandits. Tox became wary of the village after the events of the War of Wizards, moving from his cabin to distant Blackrose. Kast and Shandar disliked some of the First Era's more boisterous and obnoxious citizens and sought to put distance between themselves and Lakeview. Seeking safety from the bloodlust of DragonLegends, Deztro accidentally discovered Blackrose and built a home not far away.
