Jon Dear is a British financier who works in London. In 2012, shortly after his release from the hospital, a woman named Mary began following him, addressing him as William and sending him love letters. Jon attempted to evade her, but Mary became steadily more persistent, and may have murdered his cat. At one point Jon attempted to contact the police about her, but Sergeant Fox arrived and stole all the love letters Mary had sent.
