Ranma and Akane are late to get to Furinkan High School, and when they arrive (after Akane realises Ranma has turned into his cursed form on the way there) the male students tell Akane they admit her engagement to Ranma Saotome. The only exception is Kuno who declares that he loves both Akane and the pigtailed girl, but is soon knocked unconscious by Ranma. After School has finished (during which Ranma gets hit by a Baseball that Akane hit) they go to Dr. Tofu's Clinic where Ranma learns that despite Akane's feelings for Dr. Tofu she can't tell him straight out as he's in love with Kasumi.
