The unnamed Vietnamese woman was the lover of Eddie Blake, aka the Comedian, while he served in the Vietnam War. She was present in Saigon in March 1971 when Jon Osterman (Dr. Manhattan) arrived in Vietnam and was reintroduced to Blake. On V.V.N. Night, in June of the same year, the Vietnamese woman was pregnant. She accosted Blake in the US Embassy's Saigon Officers Club, and slashed him across the face with a broken bottle when he refused to accept her unborn child as his own, permanently scarring him. In revenge, Blake shot her dead, along with the unborn child.
