Sergeant Okiya Cermak, "Oki" had been a guard for NewEgypt on Kibou-daini, but was promoted to personal assistant to NewEgypt's senior officer of security after his involvement with quelling Lisa Sato's planned revelation of the company's questionable business practices. Sergeant Oki was particularly helpful to their plot in that he had a relative in the New Hope Legacy Liberators, a reactionary group prone to violent behavior. He generally did as his boss Hans Witta told him to do.
