The Cygnus Air Militia was the aerial arm of the colony of Cygnus' Colonial Militia. The Air Militia was born out of necessity in the immediate aftermath of the outbreak of the Human-Covenant War to take over some roles once filled by the planet's UNSC Air Force garrison. Throughout the Human-Covenant War, the Air Militia was an endeavor of mixed success. The arm aided in helping provide internal security for the colony, as well as aiding the colony's emergency services after terror attacks or natural disasters.
