Since December 2006 Matalas is married to two time ENT extra Amy Earhart. Matalas is acquainted with NASA astronaut and U.S. Naval Captain Robert Curbeam, a Star Trek fan. In January 2004, Curbeam visited the set of Enterprise as a guest of Matalas. Curbeam went on to set the record for the most spacewalks completed by a single crewmember in December 2006. [1](X) The planet Matalas, referenced in the Enterprise episode "Dear Doctor" , was named after Terry Matalas. Terry Matalas is currently (2015) the Co-Creator and Executive Producer of "The 12 Monkey's" TV Series.
