Virgil is a clydesdale which Erikur Spald purchased while leaving Maar Sul City in 1017 AE. When camping near a hilltop among mossy ruins of an old temple, the duo were attacked by a troll who dragged Virgil towards the temple. Erikur saved Virgil from the troll soon after and then travelled with him to Trinity Gask and later to Survivor's Woods. Virgil proved to be a valuable companion, helping Erikur and his companions fight against giant spiders, and was one of the survivors who successfully fled from the forest after the Battle of Survivor's Woods.
