Saleem was one of the Somali pirates working under Osman Xasan Muhamad during Rogue. Saleem was one of the 19 pirates that boarded the Barataria in the Gulf of Aden. After they took control of the ship, Saleem was present while Jibríl attempted to crack Callum Trent's laptop to gain the location of the missiles on the ship. After Jack Bauer was discovered on the ship, Osman ordered Saleem to stay with Jibríl to guard him. Once the laptop was cracked, Saleem and Jibríl were then ordered to the deck to guard Dubad and his brothers operating the crane. However, while standing guard Saleem was shot three times by Jack.
