Frederick Scannel was a drug lord who ordered the murder of Sharon Lasko. When Scannel's limo driver, Johnny Stivers, showed Lasko a trunk full of cocaine to impress her, Scannel threatened to kill him unless Johnny killed her to keep her from going to the police. Johnny then reluctantly shot Lasko to death. After Johnny testified against him, Scannel was executed for orchestrating the murder of a witness.
