The Green Party of Jill is a major political party in Jill. The party formed during the 1940s and 1950s and first appeared as an official political party during the 1955 national elections. The party runs on the green politics platform, with strong emphasis on individual liberties, environmental protectionism and proper economic regulation. The Greens are the current leading party in Jill, holding comfortable majorities in both the Upper House and Lower House, as well as the President. The party competes directly with the Democratic Party of Jill.
