In 1554, the German state of Braunschweig-Lüneburg formed its second province in Atlantis, called Waldstätten (OTL Pennsylvanian Appalachians). Experienced woodcutters and sawmill builders were invited there from as far as Switzerland. 1642, the colonies of Denmark-Braunschweig (Martinsburg, Waldstätten, Nieuw-Nederland, Haraldsborg and Anderland) were united under a common administration. With the "Schulzenaufstand" in 1795, the colony became independent and thus a part of German Atlantis.
