The 2016 Spring - Porter tornado was a very destructive tornado that touched down outside of Spring, Texas at 0924 UTC. The tornado lasted for 42 minutes, and moved through various highly populated areas with little warning, leading to high numbers of injuries, and a few deaths. Damage was also very extensive, reaching hundreds of millions of dollars in preliminary estimations. The tornado then moved through Porter in its final minutes, largely sparing the town of heavy damages.
