The Fifth Dynasty was an historical era within the Kurlan civilization. When Federation historian Professor Richard Galen acquired a complete Kurlan Third Dynasty Kurlan naiskos produced by the Master of Tarquin Hill in 2369 and gave it to his former protegee, Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Picard mistook this naiskos for a Fifth Dynasty naiskos.
