The Interstellar Encyclopedia is a reference book covering a wide variety of general subjects from many space-faring races. In 2267 Captain Gideon of the Excalibur loaded 20 copies of the Interstellar Encyclopedia onto planetary surface probes and dropped them into the atmosphere of a planet in the Eridani Sector who's inhabitants had been led to believe that Humans were secretly manipulating their society.
