Richard Hale was an agent for an unknown organization leading what has been termed the "amulet task force". Along with Daniel Snow and anthropologist Charlie Lake, they attempted to gain access to the amulets, for unknown reasons. Snow was killed in a similar way by Blanche. She later dragged Hale and Snow's bodies outside. Lake, the sole survivor of the incident found Hale's body later that day.
