Pip was a cat owned by November Terra, a scion of the Old Families, said ownership lasting two weeks. It didn't get along with anyone other than Nova. Eventually her family had to get rid of the cat, which they did by giving it to Rebeka, their hair dresser. Nova held great affection for the cat, and visited Rebeka (in order to see Pip) as often as was socially proper.
