A half-plane is an infinite two-dimensional shape comprising half of a Euclidean plane, with a Euclidean line as its boundary. Such a half-plane divides the Euclidean plane into two sides, an inside and an outside. It can be constructed by subtracting a Euclidean line from the plane, and then taking one of the two spaces produced and using the line as its boundary.
