Hubert the Human Cannonball is a daredevil who appeared in the first episode of Sesame Street’s 42nd season. He comes to Sesame Street, determined to be launched out of a cannon and land exactly five feet away into a bucket of blue gelatin. Hubert equips himself with an "audience", via remote control sound effects, and a ruler, with which Baby Bear helps him measure. When Hubert's cannon breaks, Elmo and Telly try a few alternatives to propel him into the bucket, but they don't work. Then, Baby Bear gets the idea to engineer a giant rubber band launcher, which succeeds in helping Hubert accomplish his goal.
