A gecko was a type of small reptile native to Earth. Geckos are noted for the unique physical structure of their footpads, which enable them to adhere to and move on most surfaces, horizontal and vertical. While using his experimental mobile emitter to spy on renegade Vorta Luaran, Fabian Stevens gave his hologram the form of a gecko, to enable it to perch on the bulkheads of Luaran's space station.
