Monica Gerber was a Starfleet officer in the Federation science corps. Gerber was a biologist aboard the science vessel USS Grissom (NCC-638). (Star Trek: Grissom) Aboard the Grissom, fellow crewmembers Lars Thorsen and Sean Murphy were competing for her romantic interest. (Star Trek: Grissom) Gerber and the Grissom crew were killed in 2285 when the Grissom was destroyed in orbit of the Genesis planet during a surprise attack by a Klingon Bird-of-Prey commanded by Commander Kruge.
