The Johnston's mangabey (Lophocebus johnstoni), is a new species of crested mangabey in the Cercopithecidae family. It was formerly considered a subspecies of the Grey-cheeked mangabey (Lophocebus albigena), but recently (2007) was given the status of species by Groves, with Osman Hill's mangabey and the Uganda mangabey.
