Grouj (Japanese: グロウジ Romaji: gurouji) is a character from the Slayers novel The Silver Beast Grouj was a member of the Cult of Shabranigdu. He was a chimera of unspecified composition. Grouj wore a set of Zanaffar armor. The armor greatly increased his power, giving him a laser breath attack as destructive as a Dragon Slave, but also rendered him highly unstable. As a result, he was kept asleep when his power was not needed. When Krotz attempted to awaken him for the final time, the Zanaffar armor consumed him entirely and transformed into a Demon Beast Zanaffar.
