The Lifaq, or Lafaq, family was an Orion family and a member of the Orion Frontier Mercantile Association. They possessed a number of planets within the Triangle, an area of space that bordered the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire and the Romulan Empire, and sat directly upon the route through the Klingon Neutral Zone from the Orion Neutrality Area.
