Mad Monarch's Scepter is a Legendary one-handed mace in Diablo III. It requires character level 12 to drop, and can only be found in Horadric Caches from Act I or Act IV. It is known for its ability to release a Poison Nova after every 10 kills or assists (within reasonable time, of course); this effect seems to have no cooldown, so killing 20 enemies at once will release two novas simultaneously. It looks just like the mace The Skeleton King uses against players in combat (Wrath of the Bone King), but smaller and on a shorter handle.
