Steve Bennett (born 1959) appeared in two different roles in Coronation Street: in October 2012 he played a Licensing Officer who investigated a tip-off that alcohol was being served in Roy's Rolls and in April 2015 he returned as a Landlord of a pub who refused Sean Tully and Billy Mayhew a room as they were gay. Steve trained at trained at R.A.D.A. and has also appeared in The Bill, Agatha Christie: Poirot, Mile High, Casualty, Doc Martin and Broadchurch. He also has writing and directing credits for the stage including Cider With Rosie and Through The Wardrobe.
