The Cair Paravel Massacre was a battle during the Calormene Conquest. Calormenes sailed from Tashbaan to Cair Paravel and surprised and slaughtered the city. The Narnian King Tirian was not in the castle at the time of the attack, but was informed of the massacre by Farsight the Eagle. Tirian decided to journey to Stable Hill with Jill Pole, Eustace Scrubb, Poggin the Dwarf, Puzzle the Donkey, and Farsight, who were all with him at the time. The resulting conflict, the Battle of Stable Hill, was the last battle of King Tirian, of the country of Narnia, and of the Narnian world.
