Surak's Analects was a collection of sayings made by the Vulcan philosopher Surak. They were made by the follower of logic after he had embraced his new belief. The Analects were a source of controversy among a number of Vulcans though others found it an interesting read. When first published, the Analects sparked three riots and won Surak two literary awards. They were inspirational to the Adepts of Gol who converted to Surak's belief in logic. It was common for followers of Surak to quote from his Analects. (TOS novel: Vulcan's Soul)
